Reporta Ya

Legal information

Terms and conditions

The terms for browsing, posting and participating in Reporta Ya on the app and website.

Version dated 3 November 2026

Who provides the service

These terms apply to the Reporta Ya mobile app and website wherever they are available. REPORTA YA S.A.S. owns and operates the service. ACODEINVENTION S.A.S. developed the platform. Contact us at support@reporta-ya.com. Our address is barrio La Josefina, avenida Diamante, intersección Perla, OE201, Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador. Ecuadorian tax ID (RUC) 1793240663001.

Using the map, reports and alerts

Reporta Ya lets people document events of community interest. Map points, videos and Siren alerts may be incomplete, out of date or awaiting verification. Posting a report does not file an official complaint or dispatch emergency responders. For urgent help, call your local emergency number. Record only when safe and follow emergency responders’ instructions.

Your account and choices

To create an account or contribute, you must be able to agree to these terms under applicable law, with representation or authorisation when required. Protect your credentials, provide accurate information and let us know about unauthorised access. Accepting these terms concerns the rules for using the service. Camera, location and microphone permissions and choices about optional data uses are handled separately.

Before you post

Share only material you own or are entitled to use and publish. Describe what you observed, distinguish fact from opinion and mark the incident location carefully. Obscure faces of children or victims, licence plates, documents and private addresses when they could expose a person. These rules also apply to comments, profiles, narration and AI-assisted content.

Prohibited conduct

Threats, harassment, discrimination, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate images, impersonation, fabricated accusations, spam, fraud and disclosure of private data to target someone are prohibited. Do not tamper with evidence, trigger false alerts or access accounts or systems without authorisation. Do not endanger others to record or earn payment for a report.

Permission to display your content

You retain your rights in the material you contribute. When you submit it for publication, you give REPORTA YA S.A.S. non-exclusive permission to host it, make technical adaptations, moderate it and display it on the map, app and website to provide the service. External distribution is subject to the information given for that feature and any authorisations required. People who see a post may save copies.

Removal, deletion and incident history

You may request review or removal of a post, including if you appear in it and have no account. An account deletion request covers your associated content under Reporta Ya’s control. If a specific legal obligation requires a file to be preserved, retention is limited to the material and period required. Preserving evidence does not itself authorise continued public display. A community history may still reflect independently documented facts without reproducing your material or identifying you.

To delete your account or associated information, email support@reporta-ya.com. To contact Mateo Romero directly about your privacy rights, email mateo.romero@reporta-ya.com.

Reporting, moderation and review

You can flag content on the post or email support@reporta-ya.com with the link or reference and the reason. Reporta Ya may review, hide or remove a submission or restrict an account according to the severity or recurrence of the issue. If you believe there was a mistake, request human review by email and identify the post or account concerned.

Payments, changes and complaints

Posting a report does not by itself entitle you to payment. If a payment programme is offered, its eligibility rules and conditions are communicated separately. Updates to these terms will appear here and material changes will be announced through the service. Your mandatory consumer rights and avenues for redress before competent authorities or courts remain available under applicable law.
